Full Course Description
Work can be a highly engaging experience when you have the right purpose, build the right skills, and engage effectively with a group who is just as passionate about getting stuff done as you are. Let's build that workplace together.
During this course participants will back up theory with practice in small chunks, participate in fun games and exercises, share stories from their own experience, and discuss in groups about how to apply their newly gained knowledge back in their workplace.

What you'll learn
Agile Management - Yesterday's management techniques are not serving the adaptive, agile teams and work of today's organizations. Learn about different management styles and how they affect an organization and its work.
Complexity Thinking - Organizations are complex organisms, yet they are often run via compounding policies. We'll learn how to address complexity with complexity and set boundaries to guide an organization and take advantage of the complex interactions happening every minute among staff.
Energize People - People are the most important part of an organization. From their minds comes the stuff of value. Let's learn what truly motivates people to do their best work.
Empower Teams - Teams can self-organize into hyper-productivity when given the right set of circumstances. Learn what three things you can do to set your teams up for success.
Align Constraints - Self-organization doesn't mean chaos! Learn how to protect people with the appropriate constraints and move everyone towards a clear purpose and defined goals.
Develop Competence - People love to learn and grow their skills, especially if it helps them be more successful. Learn how to foster the development of your people.
Grow Structure - Without the right structure in place, the success of teams is hand-cuffed by their organization. Learn how to craft structures that foster the communication and creativity today's complex organizations require.
