How ImprovingU Helps Improve You

At Improving, we're firm believers in "the more you give, the more you get."

That's why we host events at the office for user groups, have volunteering events, employ conference speakers, and encourage our developers to help build open-source software. We want the community to benefit from our presence. We want to give back as a thanks for everything the community has given us.

This also extends to learning.

We like to recognize that everyone is the smartest person in the room when their specialty is brought up. We have many brilliant developers who love to share their knowledge, but there are also many cases when developing expertise isn't necessary. We like to bring out everyone's passion and help them spread their knowledge of it to those around them. It can be anything.

There is such a large variety of experience in technology. Everyone has something different to bring to the table. Everyone is better than the next person at something. We like to recognize that and let the person shine by sharing their experience with those around them.

To foster this kind of environment, we have a program called ImprovingU.

ImprovingU provides everyone the opportunity to learn something new from an expert in the area. The expert will also learn the best way to coach others on the topic. Not only is it a lesson for those in the class, but also a lesson for the teacher. Everyone benefits!

These courses aren’t just limited to technology. We’ve had everything from tips on building your network to wine tastings. Even maple syrup tapping at our Minneapolis office!

We like having people who are continuously learning and improving themselves. ImprovingU is just another example of how we work to provide an environment that promotes learning something new and different. It presents the opportunity to push yourself out of your comfort zone and challenges you to learn something new.

Our goal is to spread as much knowledge as we can in the hopes that each person can pull aspects of what they learned into their everyday experiences. The more experience a person has, the more we have to give and offer those around us and in turn, the more knowledge we can receive.

We strive to improve the world around us.

The more you give, the more you get.
