The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and enacted. Scrum Masters do this by ensuring that the Scrum Team adheres to Scrum theory, practices, and rules. 
The Scrum Master is a servant-leader for the Scrum Team. The Scrum Master helps those outside the Scrum Team understand which of their interactions with the Scrum Team are helpful and which aren’t. The Scrum Master helps everyone change these interactions to maximize the value created by the Scrum Team. 


·       Train the organization on what is Scrum and Agile

·       Lead and mentor the organization on Agile values and principles

·       Lead and mentor the organization on Lean principles

·       Lead and mentor the organization to use empirical process models

·       Lead and coach the development team in how to best use Scrum to achieve its objectives

·       Act as team facilitator towards the goal of making a powerful Scrum Team

·       Facilitates efficiency and eliminates roadblocks.

·       Mentor and work with Product Owner & the team in creation of a high quality product backlog to maximize value of delivery

·       Train the organization in the practice of creating quality user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritization

·       Act as a peer mentor to other Scrum Masters and Coaches 


·       Bachelor's Degree preferred

·       2+ years working in an Agile software development environment

·       Previous experience working in an multi-team environment as a Scrum Master

·       Previous Scrum Master training/education or Certification is highly preferred - (CSM or PSM)

·       Software development or Project Management background

·       Familiar with Agile Tools - (e.g., Rally, Version One)

·       Preferred experience with Agile techniques (CI, TDD, etc)
